Good day to all of you:
Welcome to the first Official Gozabonotes Newsletter! We are hoping to use our newsletter to update you on the progress of the site and to add a few suggestions for increasing sales and making your gallery more appealing to our buyers!
It has been a long, exciting and adventurous 11 days since we first launched!! We have been busy networking, blogging, setting up an adwords campaign through google, sending out press releases (as most of you know we were featured on Fox 17 News last Friday on the “Best of the Web”), visiting art fairs, and adding our site to many information destinations on the net!
We have had over 1000 “Unique” hits on the site since we launched from one end of the continent to the other (I have been told this is awesome for a brand new site)! We have had artists reporting sales and are working hard at driving more buyers and artists to the site! As you see, we are offering the first 50 artists that sign up on the site a FREE 6 month subscription! Let your artist friends know about this offer as it will expire on July 1st!
As we weave our way through the myriad of marketing options on the web, we know that a new site takes time to really grow (as most web authors tell us).
We have a few suggestions for all of you that will help us grow and make our site a top notch place to be!
We received an email from the editor of emptyeasel.com and they will be doing a review of the site in the next couple of weeks.
A few comments they made to us were about the quality of the pictures taken showing the products on the site. It is an absolute necessity for pictures to be taken that allow buyers to see the quality of your works! There are some distorted pictures and some that do not show detail of your products.
They have shared a link with us that will give you some direction and ideas for this process. If you click here you will get some great information on how to take quality pictures.
Remember this is YOUR business and the easier you make it for buyers to view your products, the more sales you will receive!!!!
Another very important note: All artists can use the “Tell a Friend” tab under your artist navigation bar to send emails to friends/relatives/other artists to let them know about the site. Of course we are not asking you to SPAM people (that is annoying) but it is the most important thing you all can do to “Spread the Word”! I can see the results on our analytics pages of the artists that have done this and it is bringing people to the site! If you are a member of a blog or any other organization that you can spread the word about GoZabo- it will be a great benefit for us all!
Remember that you can also add your own unique URL on your business cards, your emails or any other promotional materials you may use that will allow your clients to view your gallery on GoZabo.
If any of you would like brochures that you can hand out at art shows, clubs or councils please email us at contactus@gozabo.com with a mailing address and quantity and we will send them out ASAP!
Last but not least- there is a new artist that is adding products to the site as we speak and her profile photo is fantastic. Her name is Bia and her site is Ms. Elaineous. When she gets her products added to the site, check it out…. It might give you all food for thought when you see her gallery photo as to some creative thinking!
We have soooo enjoyed chatting with you all and seeing the new products on the site. You are all SOOOO talented! We have enjoyed each and every one of you! If you want to chat with other artists that are a part of the Gozabo community- contact them- make friends- share ideas and enjoy a new community of some fabulous people!
